Penn Conflict's - Yay or Nay

Post by yepi'mon » Wed Jan 24, 2018 7:12 am

I've got to replace a few old reels and I've found some Penn Conflicts on sale at $99.

Does anyone have these reels and are they worth the price? Otherwise I'll just grab some more Sienna's

have a 6k. solid as hell. hasn't been treated all that kindly and held up. will last longer than a sienna in my opinion. best thing about them is that handle knob. dunno if the smaller ones come with it but it's very nice to use for a reel at that price point

I have Penn reels but not the Penn Conflict, however they do look like a solid reel.Penn is normally very good quality.

I love the round EVA handles, so much better profile to grab onto IMO that the flat plastic ones. I dont know why more reels dont go with the round handle

Ive got a couple. Good quality reel that has held up well over the years. My only gripe is a 2nd spool costs half as much as a new reel.
