Surf Rod line class
Hi guys. After some advice regarding Rod and weight class. I often use my surf Rod for salmon and pinkies and have had not much trouble using it as it is 5-12kg weight class. My question is would this be suitable for gummies and kingfish or would I need something with higher weight class? Thanks in advance

Should be fine for gummies. Guess it depends on the size of the fish.FishHunter81 wrote:Hi guys. After some advice regarding Rod and weight class. It'll be fine for gummies  I've landed 100kg+ sharks on my 6 - 12kg, 12ft rods.

It'll be fine for gummies and anything else you're likely to get as by-catch.
