7-foot rod compatible with piers?
7-foot rod compatible with piers?
Hi all,
I used my 7-foot rod at Mornington Pier and it worked suitably well. However, it is properly appropriate for pier fishing? :water:
Thanks,

Depends what you are fishing for and how far you wanna cast. If it worked well for you then stick with it

There's more to it than just as simple as rod length. But generally yes, you can use 7ft rod on piers.

Re: 7-foot rod compatible with piers?
I have a pair of 7 foot nibble tip rods which I use only on piers - catches plenty of whiting, flathead, pinkies etc. I found it the ideal size for soaking baits while I flick squid jigs/plastics around with an 8 foot.
