Hi,
I've been looking at a new combo to tackle both whiting and squid..
I'm tossing up between a Shimano Zodias paired with a stradic Ci4+, or a Nitro Distance Spin (Unsure what to pair with, but prefer Shimano reels)...
has anyone used these rods or have an opinion on them?
any advice would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks

My mate has Zodias, nice and light. Perfect to pair with stradic ci4.JamesHird1 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 10:44 pmHi,

Never used a zodiac but own various Ci4+ reels and the distance spin.
Used to run a 2500 Ci4+ On a distance spin for few years but changed to a 3000 Ci4+ on a nitro custom egi rod. The extra length on the rod and low profile guides will aid in casting distance with bigger jigs. It also has much better action(compared to a distance spin)for fishing or kgw in fast current areas.
Cheers
