Hi.

Seeing a bit of this red paxkaged spiderwire going relatively cheaply. Does anyone use this line anymore or is it just a historical remnant.

Anyone thst might do is it any good?

I remember I used the 10lb of that rec package spiderwire with stradic ci4 (would've been 3 models ago) many years ago. It was good. It got discoloured a bit after few use but was a good line. Smooth, no twist, etc.

But I was told was only good for the thinner lines. Never had the thicker models so I can't tell you exactly.

I agree with Sebb. Thin lines are great up to 10 lbs. I still have a lot left on a 3000 meter spool i bought many years ago which i use for SP and squidding . Any thicker and the braid expands when wet. It also flattens.
