Hi Dougie, wish I could offer some advice here but the only snapper I've caught on a plastic was a barely legal pinky on a 2.75 inch curl tail grub in bloodworm while chasing flatty.
Jewies = zip...

I have always done well on the snapper with the old turtleback worm in the pumpkin seed colour, most underrated soft plastic in my opinion.
