Panther Martin dressed spinners!

Post by Rod Bender » Fri Mar 16, 2012 6:35 pm

Hi All,
I have seen Panther Martin spinners in the odd tackle shop but have never tried them. I purchased some on line a while ago just to give them a go. I believe I am on a winner! Well so far anyway. They worked very well on redfin but yes I know - what doesn't. I purchased small versions (a bit less than two grams) and the trebles seem to be relatively small as well (as to what you get on other smallish spinners). Not sure if it is because of this but it seemed to be 'snag resistant' to a point. Odd thing with this spinner is the shaft passes through the blade. Perhaps because of this I find it caused minimal line twist (me not a big fan of swivels/keels) and it has a great spinning action even at a slow retrieval speed. I am that impressed I would buy the company if I had a shitload of money. Yet to test it on a largish fish but can't wait to give it a swim in some trout infested waters.
thanks
Jim
