well, I buy then from woolies, coles and any other chemists out there but I find it easier to find the size I need from tackle shops.

Ball bearings ? Try SPOTLIGHT STORE for some small metal beads . I reckon lead split shot would make some rattling noise maybe.plus give the lure casting weight. :wall:Fish-cador wrote:split rings - $3
Trebles- $5
ball bearings - hard to find old ones, expensive to buy new ones
Flattened fingers while hammering a hole - painful
Time spent making this - priceless, better spent fishing
Nice lures off ebay - $4 delivered
I like yout idea of the wire Nigel. I 'm going to make my next lure using the wire method ,but still drill holes this time through the ripple part of the cap.WHY you might ask? Hoping this allows the lure to spin and get some action  :doh1:stormboy wrote:Easier way again would be to join the swivel and hook together using wire and then bend the bottle top around the wire, saves punching holes through the bottle top and using split rings. Not sure if that is what you have done as I cant see the wire in the pics, but that would be an easier option.
Cheers Nigel

Here - $1.20 each delivered....and you wont be shy (or look stupid) to use this anywhere where others will see it.
You are right. The feeling of FINALLY achieving something feels good... My question to you - will you use that bottle top/crown lure on a crowded pier and bear the ridicule or the stares you will get from other anglers? I guess not.mazman wrote:
