Re: skippy season
lol, skippy season to me means crashing into roo's, and there's heaps around too, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Re: skippy season
Nice collection. Which beach do you think would be the best to target tailor from? The range is listed as East of Wilsons Prom, is there a preferable area between the Prom and Mallacoota or is it kinda "find a bit of beach and hope they are there"

Re: skippy season
Can't help you with where to target them but I find statements of range like the one above to be intriguing. A decision has obviously been made somewhere to say that is their range yet despite this I and many others have caught them outside of this natural range, admittedly there are unnatural explanations for why they occur at certain locations but they have to get there somehow and that is a large distance for schools to venture out of their range by for something that I'm fairly certain they wouldn't be able to sense the presence of from east of the prom. It makes you wonder how much we really understand about our fishery.DougieK wrote:Nice collection. Which beach do you think would be the best to target tailor from? Re: skippy season
Nhills got one at Martha last year I think. In the 90's they were at the Warmies weekly.
I dunno where that range came from either.

Re: skippy season
I used to get them off station pier as well. Been years now since I fished there though.
