Rui Jigs

Post by fitzy90 » Wed Aug 24, 2016 9:31 am

Hi Guys,

Has any one had some experience with Rui Jigs, for those that dont know he is a local Melbourne lad that imports his own brand of squid jigs.
Just ordered some but was wondering if any one else has had luck on his jigs and what the build quality was like

Cheers
Fitz

I haven't personally used them. Poodoo and Carl love the things.

They look like they're slightly lower quality than the yamashita jigs I normally use and I haven't had a whole lot of success on them compared to yamas but if Poodoo likes them you probably can't go wrong

The finish isn't as good as Yamashita or haramitsu but it's not far off. I've got 3 of his 3.5s but I don't actually think I've caught anything on them. I've had these for a while though so his quality might have improved. Good colour range too.

For all those that have them put them beside your sephia jigs and tell me there's a difference in body profile, the weight and the barbs are slightly different.

I like them personally. Great colour range and the fact they're the same as Sephias which I also like its a bonus.

Most of my jigs are Rui's .... they may not quite be the same quality as a $20+ jig but IMO they are far better than anything else in the $10 range.

The only exception for me is the white, I prefer the white Sephia but everything else in my case is Rui.
