Bib repair.

Hi all,
Was looking to do a bit of surface fishing the other night for Cod, but realised the bib on the lure is Cracked, Has anyone tried to make there own bibs for a surface lure? The lure is A kingfisher Mantis (The purple lure, But was thinking it would be easier to put on a Squarer bib like on the Koolabung Cod walkers ( Black lure).
Any Tips or tricks would be greatly Appreciated,
