Where to use Poppers?

Hey, Im just wondering if anyone knows any good spots to use poppers around PPB and the surf coast. I have a Halco 80 popper and some small gillies poppers but ive only caught 1 salmon on them which was in the Merri river in Warnambool. Also, what would be a good outfit for them? If anybody knows any places to use them on a boat in PPB that would be great too. Cheers. :gone:

your best bet will be close to the rip in PPB. I just dont know if the kings are around.

Alright, sounds good, i havnt caught a kingie yet but i really want to! Any land based locations to try?

go somewhere in Eden. I was told there is a long pier down there where you can catch bonito, etc. Rock fishing I heard is also good. Never been there though. Too far to travel for a bonito.
