Gulps, almost any colour will work as they are more attracted to the smell of gulps than the colour itself tbh.. the 4 inch minnow is a good allrounder, ive caught big and small fish on that one lure profile
jigheads and line etc all depends on wether lanbased or boat and where you are actually fishing..

Gulp turtle back worms will catch most things in ppb. If in deeper water after bigger fish try the 5,6 and 7 inch minnows and nemesis.

I prefer the action of the curly tails - gulp jigging grubs, zman streakz curly tails and squidgy wrigglers but a lot of people also use whip baits.
I also prefer more natural colours in shallow water and brighter colours in deeper water, but you can't go past the nuclear chicken colour.

Can anyone point me in the right direction in regards to what type of soft plastic and jig head I should be using if I'm boat fishing in less than 10mts of water at the top of PPB for Snapper?

Has anyone ever had success with plastics in WPB?
Always wanted to try it during slack tied but never really bothered

Is that the one that looks like a grub? (never used them before, but I'm starting to see the appeal in using something in addition to bait)

Yes, I throw them around with a 1oz with my salmon rod while I'm snapper fishing and get sick of spinning metals. This is land based.
