Appreciate we could have a whole discussion on shades of grey but the more I squid fish (at least once a week 52 weeks a year) the more I’m convinced that squid jig colour is a marketing scam.
From my experience, if they are “on” they will hit any $1 jig regardless of colour. If they are shy, it comes down to jig size, sink rate and the action applied.
And the more the cloth is damaged, the better the jig works!
nah how come i can lets say throw a yamashita glow 2.5 orange jig in to a spot and get zip hits swap over to a yamashita glow 2.5 pink jig and clean up same rod action ive used with the other jig

at my normal spot at westenport i was catching squid with hoods to about 40cm the time before last we went out, so to keep catching that size would be nice or maybe bigger

mind you purple 5 was catching hood of 10cm at some spot last time we were out there on 3 jigs

That's not the point though loll.
Anyway. Get the 14t. Or the white with the red head that i was using on the day. Those ones work for some reason. Few good rui ones as well which i caught the squid on that day.

He has a similar model. I'm not sure if its as effective as the 14t as i havent used it yet.
White with red head is another model from shimano but works just as good.
14t is fully white.
