Nice fish! I hope they are not all bills on your fridge! It looks a bit like mine! Do you have a camera on you when you are fishing? The scene you described would have made some great pics! Too busy catching fish I guess!
thanks
Jim

Great fishing Carl.

St3vil, Salmons are nice to eat. Just wrap the in foil & grill over BBQ. yum when hot.

A mixture mate. I keep a couple for the table, the wife has a thermomix. She puts them in the steam tray, and puts vegetables and tinned tomatoes in the bottom. The salmon becomes infused with the vege mix..very palatable..I keep a few for bait, and normally supply a few mates with them. I put back probably 90% to swim another day. I know people bemoan them and don't really rate them, but they`re fantastic fun in my book, defiantly my favourite fish to catch, and even the small models bust their arse to get away, so I have a lot of respect for them..
If eating, bleed them immediately, stick `em upside down in the sand, fillet them soon as, cut the lateral line out, (the blood line). Once you`ve cooked `em, pick away the remainder of the blood line, (it goes grey once cooked), the rest is very tasty..and yes, I know Gav hates them, but he does`t really like to eat any fish except flake..lol..
