Ray's stores transformation

Post by Wolly Bugger » Sun Nov 13, 2016 8:50 am

I kind of wondered with the closure of Rays' Outdoors shops, if they were going to reopen as a BCF and sure enough the Frankston store is getting rebadged to BCF, not sure about Mentone.

There is already a BCF in Warnabool so the closure of Ray;s they may reopen it as something else.

Yep. The Frankston store even had a giant banner up saying so before Ray's closed.

Those in places that already have a cbf will probably become something else in the supercheap group, one of these: Amart Sports, Avanti Fitness, Goldcross Cycles, Rebel, Supercheap Auto, Workout World

The store at South Morang remained as Rays but the transformation is pathetic. It is like a bigger version of a Katmandu store and is very sterile definately aimed at yuppies and their "Glamping"

Either open as BCF or dropping fishing alltogether. Going polar opposite to BCF

It really makes zero sense to have Rays and BCF competing against each other in the same market
