Armadale Angling

Post by WayneK » Fri Sep 21, 2018 9:39 am

Hi everyone,

I'm giving Armadale Angling a big plug! Obviously they don't have the buying power of 'the big two' but they more than make up for it with a terrific range of stock and reasonably good prices. I have found their service and fishing knowledge to be exceptional, plus, they have a shop with plenty of character. I grew up around Mentone and used to haunt John Wright's Southern Sportfishing, many years ago. I put Armadale Angling up there with Southern Sportfishing - I highly recommend them.

I'll second this recommendation....
For fresh or saltwater the boys at this store provide a great level of service & have plenty of advice on hardware for most (all?) modes of fishing. The gear they sell is quality no rubbish product, so you can be sure to you've left the store with a good piece of equipment that is not going to give you dramas, or be a wasted investment.
I will provide one concession, they are not one of the big stores so do not have the same $$ market prices, but I'll grant you that the quality and good advice isn't found at the cheaper 'super store' locations around town.
Give them a go! :-)

** this is my local angling store near to where I live.

They are my local store.
Just down the road. Could walk there. Have been going there for years and I always renew my license there. Always friendly and willing to help. Great little store.
Cheers.

Agree with all the above and they have a decent range of fly fishing/tying gear as well.
