need some advice on some reels and rods

fella's need some advice on a few reels and possible good rods to go with them.

basically what i am looking at for big game is :-
tyrnos,
tiagra
basically which is better, and what type of rod would suit the reels

also the diawa saltiga dogfight vs the shimano stella 20000 and the ideal rods for them
any advice would be good

as the war and finance officer has given the go ahead, :cheers: :super: want to get the best type i can

Tiagra good game reel , as are Penn international . I prefer Daiwa dogfight also , have fun shopping the reels .

I can't give any advice on the Stella/saltiga argument. I think a lot of it comes down to personal preference on brands

Shimano tiagra hands down for game reel. Tyrnos is an upper spec tld. Tiagra is a different ball game. I've got a couple and I'd much prefer to have them in my hand over the tld's my mate owns. They are weighty but you forget about that once you're strapped in.

If you're buying the good stuff budget another $250 for a black magic gimble and harness set.

thanks guys for the advice, it seems like a majority view here on the dogfight and tiagra and thats what i will do. also ducky thanks for the heads up about the harness and gimble.

im actually at tackle store now.. deciding if i should get a dogfight or not hrmmss lol
