For sale $1000, including trailer, excluding the person on the picture: :lolf:

Since you dont buy online, you cant have it. :lolf: :roflmao:
Not interested , as without meeting you in person & shaking on such a big boat deal for $1000.00 & checking for proof of ownership & no finance owing / V.I.V status on boat "no deal" etc . :)

Dude, get with the times, Australian Retail is down around 40%, due mostly to the online surge in sales.

There will always be a place for the specialist tackle shop but you'll find that there will be less and less of them in the future, just like a lot of other shopfront retailers.

Personalisation and making friends VS price.
I'll normally purchase my stuff from private retailers, even when it's more expensive, but when the large retailers have a significant discount, I'll stock up a little. If the person in store pisses me off, I just head back to the smaller stores and pay what ever.

'Get with the times" you say , nah mate . Am happy to be served by a real person & get face to face service & advise , when things go wrong or i want to exchange etc i just return to the same bloke that sold the gear to me & served me & not some computer screen or e'mail crap .

One extremely huge problem with big chain stores is that they have a limited range of products that do not change from store to store.

For example as far as I know BCF do not stock Nitro rods, so if you are looking for a Nitro rod, and there are only BCF stores in existance it makes them much harder to find.

Look at the current arguement about the market power of woolies and coles stores.
http://www.smh.com.au/national/growers- ... 1kvgj.html

There is sadly the idea that cheaper prices, equals quality. Years ago I bought a canvas tent, and it has served me well with plenty of use. I heard that lately the quality of canvas tents, is so poor that they need extra water proofing.

Sure without doubt in Australia we have been exploited in the price of goods by many importers and retailers. Another form of exploitation occurs when low quality products are dumped onto the Australian market.

BCF! not worth the time or effect. i'd go to the small tackle shop any time over the big stores as they offer the better service because they all live to fish! :r i have been to total tackle at rosebud for help on what colour squid jig weight etc and its worked good haul of squid. asked where to go for the whiting, was told a couple of spots best time and i came home with some nice KG whiting! well done the guys at total tackle rosebud.   go the little guy any time. i have never found that at any big store.
i'm happy to pay more for the service. :D

I like many other's every so often go to BCF for some gear & as i said one bloke @ BCF stands out IMO thats "Izzy" who works @ Braybrook store now , he honestly is a top bloke "but he is extra ordinary" compared to most staff . i generally shop specialist tackle shops & glad to pay sometimes a little more $$ , but most specialist shop's gladly price match genuine sales of the big chains anyway . :)

Yes Izzy aint bad ;) I knew him when he worked at my local bcf, which i might add, I have never had any off these horror stories i hear about with cr@p service... i get along with most off the staff at the shops i go too... but than again i dont talk to the 16year old kids when i wanna ask something...lol

Like I said, all comes down to time frame, wants and needs and location at the time.... Am i just bumming around on a windy day (BCF is good for this) though as a impulse buyer i always buy something...lol or is it something special i want(than local tackle is better)... Or is it just 1 packet of kl 1/0 hooks etc etc...
