I buy local as often as possible, but still get several items off ebay too. Just received 5 Rapala CD1 lures from the USA for less than half the price here in Tassie and that included delivery. They made a lot of 5 up for me as a special order of the models that I was after.
Cheers

Ebay is Great :thumbsup: , as long as you do your research on exactly what you are looking for precisely :a_goodjob: . As you will find identical products , IE;; brand , item , and number of items postage and associated transport costs , :fish11: , you will find most tackle shops can not compete , only boutique tackle shops can compete with custom and specialised products or heavy bulky items with a low cost and high cost of shiping,.
I hope that defines it !
Good luck :bolt:

I go on Ebay a fair bit, always buy my Vanish Leader there for $15 when at the local stores its $25 - $30...
You can also find lures for pretty good prices, example...

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/30Pcs-Fishin ... a81&_uhb=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Buying off Ebay USA can also yield good results as things tend to be cheaper there, for example...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-5pcs-Fishin ... 20d7929bf5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Mostly 10lb and 8lb, 50yd.
Just searching 'vanish leader' into Ebay will give you heaps of options, I usually buy from a specific seller because he's quick at posting and it usually arrives in 1-3 days. :)
