Hi folks, what kind of rig would you suggest I use on a jetty to catch snapper/pinky? Cheers.

Running or paternoster

Yeah, depends where you're fishing. Often jetty's have a lot of big stingrays hanging around so you'll often find them taking the bait and running with it, Ideally if you can use a paternoster that keeps it high enough off the bottom it helps avoid the rays haha.

if your casting it out it doesn't matter what rig I had a paternoster at Mornington on Saturday and managed to hook a huge ray its wing span was probably 2m wide and i was fighting it for 5- 10 mins before i got it to the rocks and it snapped me off.

hey, mate the rig doesn't matter it's more the conditions you fish what gear do you have because if you have a surf rod i would recommend getting some three-way swivels and setting it up with a paternoster but make the leader to the sinker relatively small while the leader to the hook is longer this means your bait will be sitting away from your sinker a bit and it has a more natural look. also depends where you are fishing i would recommend Mornington or Geelong rn there both getting good amounts of snapper and fresh bait is key to getting the big fish.

Had another crack and launched early Sunday morning. Got about 200 mts out and copped a big wave over the bow, had a 'f*ck this' moment & headed back in.
Big thank you to the guy in a big red Haines (had twin 175's on the back) who offered to take me back out...good to know there are still nice people in the world.
Heard reports Black Rock is still plagued by pinkies and Williamstown is finally starting to fire up.
haha ah **** that sux, is pretty funny to read though

what boat do you have?
One that's too small! (5mt Stabi)
Its a fine size mate, don't worry about it.

Besides one wave over the front is nothing.

That what my wife says as well....if my young bloke wasnt on board I may have persisted, but it would have been really uncomfortable at anchor and I had wet undies.

undoubtedly glass rides better, but probably stick with tin as you don't have to be as precious with them and they're easier to tow.
