Sign up to "port phillip bay fishing reports" on facebook, if you can put up with all the bull **** postings there are usually some nuggets of gold in relation to depth and areas to be fishing.
Dont be scared to do some night shift fishing as well, less noise on the water, boat ramps are better and ive had a lot more success at night between 10pm - 5am than i have had during the day, each to there own though.

Ansets is good too

You wont need gps marks...soon as they start, boats seem to fish ontop of each other...lol
Haha yeah i guess that's one way to find a popular spot.
How long roughly does it take to get to the wreck
I guess that's boat and weather dependent but just a rough idea will do.
Never really taken much notice ..ive not gone straight there or back... i sound around.. but id say 20 to 30 mins at 25kts on calmish day

Search for one of my old posts about GPS marks from an article by Jarod day. It should be here in the forum but I cant find it. I just hope it was not moved to VIP section as it was posted by a stingy non-VIP. :-)

snapper season secrets.

Pay absolutely no attention to other boats.

Drive as far from the main packs as you can and keep your eyes on your sounder. Only drop on fish that are in the bottom metre. Don't drop on a GPS mark. Drop on fish. They'll either go or they wont. But theres thousands of acres of grazing paddocks out there for them. It's a matter of finding fish not intercepting them.
