You'd do it easy....I feel safer in WPB than I do in PPB. Have a look at Ventnor beach at Phillip Island on google maps, the beach has small tinnys chained to stakes everywhere....most of the owners just use oars.

I was thinking of picking up one of those Gomoku rod's as I've seen them on special for about $125 and only heard good reports about them.

I've never jigged for anything so could be a good start!

Stay out of the deep except an hour either side of the change and the electric should hold well enough. Bouys 14 down to the fairway 30 minutes either side of change.

The wind chop is better than ppb on the same day as the waves aren't as close together, mid tide with wind against the exception and only really above 15 knot winds

Thought id bump this up.
had a quick 2 hour session on the weekend with the old man and my cousin. i decided to try out some soft vibes that i bought recently.
i had a very good session on the pinkies, goaties and flathead outfishing bait 5 is to 1 almost every 2nd cast had a hit/miss or hookup and when it was nearing dusk the fish hammered it every cast. will keep doing some more testing. the vibes i got were UV ones, not sure if that had something to do with it, used some S-factor on it first but didnt bother after that as they seemed to be hammering it regardless.
the one i was using only had one treble, so missed quite a lot of fish that were hitting the rear of the lure.
i was using a spanyid sniper vibe in 55mm for these smaller fish, so im guessing a bigger size might work on the snapper, will have to find out when the start to fire up this season.

Final Tally
Pinkies - 2 keepers, 6 undersize
Goaties - 5
Flatties - 2
snags - 3 lost lures
