Decent sized Snapper can be caught at Docklands area without a doubt, so I see no reason why you can't target them there, as mentioned the Snapper pictured are the results of many many hours of tough fishing & be prepared to go fishless trip after trip after trip 'good luck'.barwonboy wrote:hi, I fish docklands very regularly for anything that bites, I have caught a lot of salmon and trevally but only a few pinkies. Thanks mate I've hit docklands about 15-20 times for 11 hours each trip. Each time I see or catch something awesome. In fact last week I bagged out on salmon :super: !!! great report mate and thanks for all the tips :cheers:Fish-Hunter wrote:Decent sized Snapper can be caught at Docklands area without a doubt, so I see no reason why you can't target them there, as mentioned the Snapper pictured are the results of many many hours of tough fishing & be prepared to go fishless trip after trip after trip 'good luck'.barwonboy wrote:hi, I fish docklands very regularly for anything that bites, I have caught a lot of salmon and trevally but only a few pinkies. Great post and photos! I notice that you mention Francis Street - is there still access there? I thought that area was closed off years ago?

Drive down Francis St till the river ends & there's a new Jetty built for fishermen, but unfortunately very limited car park space.bilby wrote:Great post and photos! I notice that you mention Francis Street - is there still access there? I thought that area was closed off years ago?

Many thanks for the post and also your Yarra Snapper post. Am sure you spent a long time working out how to catch fish in the Nong as well. The lesson in all this for those new to the sport is that good fishermen do not regularly catch fish by accident - they keep trying and learn as they go and then the results come.
