Rickett's Point - 25th nov
Hey guys - first post here and wanted to share the results of last weekend.
I headed down to Rickett's Point last Saturday evening to drop the Kayak in and hopefully hook up. Got onto the water around 4:30pm and it was dead calm - awesome! After sounding around i dropped anchor trying to find some Reds but after a couple of hours with no luck, and the weather turning nasty i started to head back in. As a last ditch attempt i went to a GPS mark i had had luck at before. With no action on the sounder i decided to give it a shot anyway. Dropped a couple of rods and within 5 minutes got onto a pretty small pinky. Re-baited and was on again, and again, and again, each time getting a little bigger with the largest one being 60cm and just under 3kg, followed by a 52cm and then a heap of smaller ones. I hooked onto the 60cm one on very light tackle so it was a great fight - a new Snapper PB for me
After having 2 rods going crazy for around 45mins they went dead quiet, so with a loaded up Kayak i was happy to head home. Best snapper outing of the season so far for me!
