KGW, Gars and squid can be seen on the sounder.

Flatties never seen them I guess they spend most of the time sitting on the bottom.

I see by burley trail once I drop my burley bucket. I'll try releasing next fish I release near it to see what comes up though.

You will never see flatties. You may see what they are feeding on. In the case of smaller fish like KGW School whiting squid, you will see them if they are in quantity and under your boat. You will never see fish that are in the crevasses between rocks or in sea grass. So know your bottom type. On the larger reefs you may not see snapper until you induce a feeding frenzy.
There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

It may depends on your sounder but on mine they show up as small dashes/specks if there is s school as there often is for gars you can a bunch of dashes/specs.

KGW are the same just a bit bigger and stronger on the screen.
