I will be heading out on Monday, going to try around Altona Bay for squid and then head out deeper later in the morning.

We went out on Thursday and just about covered half of Port Phillip Bay. There are a fair bit of bait balls at present and it took us a fair while to actually find some pinkies. We caught a few some just size and a few just under that went back in.

We also caught some salmon on the troll with one taking about half a spool before I noticed it ( I was the skipper) and the deckhand was too busy on their smartphone to notice anything they didn't even notice the mermaids sunning themselves on what they thought was a secluded bit of rock. Not visible from the road, but highly visible from the water.
