Re: Port Melbourne Snapper
Those are big autumn snappers!
What plastic did you use there? Long grub tail.
I see, that net works well with big head and deeper than the kayak net. Good cut length.
Good idea to use it as a hand paddle too! My kayak isn't a hobbie or any that has foot pedal, struggling to manouver when fighting fish against current etc.

Great vid mate!
Top effort on just 8 lbs leader. Really nice work to land a fish that size

Good stuff Alex.
I wont fish in there with anything less than 15lb leader. If the big fella's are around I'll go to 30lb, even then I'll bust off at least half the hook-ups.

Re: Port Melbourne Snapper
Thanks Guys, was a fun one to make
The plastic is a zoom c-tail but most worm pattern plastics will work. I went back and use a 4" jiggle worm and was still catching plenty of fish (vid to come)Seb85 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 5:53 pmThose are big autumn snappers!

I'd watched paul Malovs vid and was planning on doing more bream than snapper fishing so packed my 4, 6 and 8lb leaders. Went back again with 12lb and pulled out a lot more of what I hooked
