Hey guys,

Latest edit just went up. This time fishing princes Pier for pinkies on plastics

Cheers Alex
Nice one, looks like a nice morning to fish. What time did you fish?
Did you beach launch the kayak?
Can't remember exactly when I came in for this one but think it was around 1. Yeah just launched off the beach nearby
1pm ?
I thought you were in the morning / sunrise.

I'm thinking to head there on Friday on the yak, wind forecast says 15kmh north wind. You reckon early morning or sunset is better? doesn't seem to matter, you caught those pinkies during the day.

Thanks in advance.

It’s a top spot there for nice pinkies Seb. I’ve caught them just casting from the end of the pier as well. Watch out for some big pike hanging around as well!
Have come across them a few times :)

Sweet. I'm gonna take Friday off work and take the yak.
Hopefully some bay salmon in action too. Not gonna being bait.
Two rods one with zman grub 2.5" and the other probably squidgy flickbait for salmon.

I launched early and retrieved at 1. Personally most of my sessions there have been in the morning but that's because my classes have been in the afternoon.
Good luck seb, for plastics I would recommend Zman slim swims, jiggle fishing worms and gulp nemesis (if things are slow)

Cool thanks.
High tide on Friday is around 7:30am or 7:30pm.
I'll try to get up early to fish 6am, otherwise fish around 3pm til dark to catch the incoming tide and sunset.
1/8 jig head and 8lb line will do yeah.

Yeah, It's a good starting point. I would have a range of leaders and jigheads to change as conditions or the fish dictate
