Maybe try sounding up deep and move further south as you go... make your way to Mornington

Sound up any arches ?
I didn't.
We sounded around for a bit at first mate but didn’t see any arches so found a spot that looked good on the edge of a small drop off and dropped the pick :)

Bad luck with the big one but they're a much more tasty size.
Definitely agree with that. My favourite eating size as well :tu:

Hi guys,

Instead of writing another report I thought I’d just add it here.
Last night I went for a lb session with a friend in the hopes of landing a big red.
Plenty of small bites with a lot of undersize pinkies at first but eventually they died down after dark.
At around 9:30 one of the rods hooked up and started peeling some line. As soon as I picked up the rod I knew it was a snapper with the strong head shakes.
Fought well for its size. Ended up being 55 Cm and took a whole pilchard.
double 4/0 gamagatsu did the damage.
Going again tonight And hoping for an upgrade :)
Jase the cure is slowly coming mate.
