Quite a few cracking snapper being caught out on the boats and land based!

I was like you, fishing only fresh water. EFF that im 99pecent salt water now, Hooking a big snapper on your line is a massive thrill.
Snappers are alive! I see 5kg ones being caught 100pecent of the time im going fishing atm. However catching one your line is a 1/10 chance

Went out yesterday Arvo off Mt Martha rocks with just a few plastics and the new nitro distance spin. Flicked for 2 or so hours and landed 10+ fish over 25cm but all under 32. They were all released to hopefully become future monsters of PPB.

Great sign for future fishing in the bay.

WD , yep those big reds are in western port , they left port albert a few months back, been hanging in western port lately , and should be moving their way more south again to Port Phillip Bay by October. Get the last of them while you can in WPB before they move on down to PPB.

Full small fresh Squid still seem to bringing in the reds in WPB.

Cheers , Rick.
