What the????

Post by Tonyzee » Mon Oct 20, 2014 10:33 am

Talk about annoying....

Go to the tackle store, get bait, Got to the servo, fill up fuel, drive to fishing spot, catch 1 average fish then...

A netting boat drives right in front of you almost within casting distance and drops a 100m long net right in front of the pier, ther has to be some law against that or some common descency?

And... no more fish, when are they going to stop raping PPB or corio bay?

Just report it to fisheries, location name or rego number of boat and general location. Cheers muzza43.

To the best of my knowledge it's still legal in Port Phillip Bay, but illegal in Westernport Bay.

No law and they've gotta earn a living. Not banned yet so it's one of those cup of concrete situations unfortunately

Pretty sure you can't net within certain distance of piers though? Will check regulations

Aren't they not allowed within 200mtrs of land? There is a whole lot of water out there I suppose I was on the right spot, was a bit busy to get the camera out, next time will get the other half to video the p****.

Whats the point of a rec fishing license fees fixing piers and making access points when they are dropping a net right in front of it?

I say get the ban on real quick, fixed western port should be great for PPB too. Even the snapper this year quite a lot smaller than last year not only the netters fault but there is a big decline.
