Quick fish report

Post by Toady king » Sat May 13, 2017 8:39 pm

Headed out to the cliffs for a quick fish in the afternoon. First time doing any sort of rock fishing but glad I did.
Within 10 minutes of fishing I caught a nice 41cm KGW, funny enough caught him on pichard, he didn't want the pillis haha. Bait up, cast and BAM! Before I could even reel in the slack I had a fish on the line. Half way reeling him in, all the weight and fighting had gone. Was pretty disappointed ... Until I released he was swimming straight to the where I was stand. Made my job a bit easier haha. Landed him and turned out to be my first barracoda :-) fished 2 hours after that but only got a little bite probably a yakka as the guy next to caught a school of them. But that was that, pretty good I reckon
