It,s very hard to accept that one,s fishing days are drawing to a close after a lifetime
of passion for the sport.
Some things become a liitle harder to manage but most of us want to keep it going
as long as we can handle it.
Just can,t imagine not using the boat, maybe will graduate to the piers eh?

At St Leonards I know of 3 guys that are in there 80s fishing by themselves-They putin and retreive the boats them selves, heavy Glass ones, all have an electric winch
There is another guy whom is about 92-I keep away from him on the water as hes only got one eye

Oh maan, you da man rb, helping the old man, and that's man to man , , , , maaaan.

Both legendary feats.
Your noticing a need for assistance AND helping. Any weight lifter who has a spotter, knows that just a little help does make a big difference, well done.
And the legendary feat of that bloke (and others like him) who have a passion and don't let age get in the way.

Reminds me Santiago in Ernest Hemingway's "The Old Man and the Sea"
