I recommend you do some research and learn more about the "species" you are targetting, as opposed to targetting a body of water as such.
Baz pressure makes a diff to "some" species, but not all. Time of day, tide, and fresh baits, can be a much bigger influence.

To add to this different locations work with different tides so i find a diary is very helpful in planning my trips

I think the consensus is that although the baro may make a difference, what really works is getting out there and fishing.

Fish for squid, they're not affected by barometer since they dont have swimming bladder. Problem solved...

Think about the expression... "fish bite least when the winds from the east" and go from there...

Baro readings are a funny thing. I think they play a big part, but it could just be pure luck that influences it as well.

Easterly winds generally indicates a dropping pressure. West and southwest winds indicate a rising pressure...on average anyway.
