one can only try haha.
there's a few spots I'd like to have a crack at in some safe water. I'm not overly keen in hitting up the rip or outside on a solo session in a 14.5 foot boat but there are a few spots I would like to try if I can find the time between everything else.

Re: Kingfish - Rye Pier 30 Nov 2014
ive been wanting to catch one for a while, missed my chance at jervis bay, this time I think my best bet is to go on a charter, there was a mob advertising on fb for a jigging trip next year at the rip..
even a rat king will be more than enough, good luck to all targeting them this season..
cheers

Re: Kingfish - Rye Pier 30 Nov 2014
I think a few of us will be giving the yellow tail tackle testers a bit of a go with the kayaks this year , and down toward the rip sounds like a bit of a work out
there are a small group of us heading up to SWR in Jan to try our hand at some pelagic things and have been gearing up for that -- jan is the main time there for Marlin but Kings - Cobia and varius other speedsters are around
Some local practice and to work the bugs out looks a great option
