Iv been fishing and spear fishing western side ppb for 25 years and never seen one that big ,biggest about 60-70 cm will always get at least one a season and 90% of the time it is spear fishing . There is plenty in the 50 -60 range in close in summer dont know where they go in winter cos we fish the same grounds as we spear and never get one .

well look at some of the posts on here, 82 cm from phillip island.
PB- Snapper 55cm, Whiting 38cm, Flathead 55cm, Bream 38cm, Australian Salmon 55cm, Carp 80cm

My best is a 61 from the Beach at Venus Bay. Looked a metre long when i brought it in too :)
x2 metre long seems crazy down here, no way yanky/any other species in the bay would reach that sorta size!

my biggest Westernport Flatty went 55 cm caught at Cleeland Bight it was last year

and I also picked up a 54 cm just near the Mouth of the Bass river also last year

Rye Pier, 1st jan this year, about 3AM, couple of fellas down the end of the pier pulled in 106cm flatty, was an absolute beast. They kept it, im sure it was an epic meal!
