I've always thought that creek might hold Bass too, looks like it doesn't.
Thanks mate. Yeah we were hoping it might too - they might be a bit further upstream but we couldn't get there. There is a little landlocked lakey thing at the end of the beach that we checked out briefly - it's completely fresh. We didn't get a chance to fish it, but if it holds a remnant population of bass there could be some monsters in there (this is only the start of it, it opens up into this wide, deep lake full of dead tea tree):

Cheers Alex
There's a creek on the opposite side that reportedly holds Bass, I haven't fished it yet as it's a mission to get there.

Thanks for that.

I've been birdwatching 37+ years now, so you'd hope I would! I'm jealous of your trip on 3 counts: the birdlife, the fish and the scenery. I would be there in an instant if I could. Absolutely magnificent. :notworthy:

Thanks mate, nothing too fancy - an 1100D with a 24-105mm. Covers most bases. My mate has some tidy kit, a 7D with a 400mm f5.6. That's what he used to snap that nice shot of the terns.

Thanks purple, we saw a few cruising around - some biggies too. Couldn't tempt them though
