two from the Maribyrnong
A couple of little Bream from the Maribyrnong today.
The wind didn't let up the whole time, made the trip a little harder, but two fish made it worth while.

Re: two from the Maribyrnong
It's not a bad place to fish - access is good and plenty of parking.
Would be nice if more of the Yarra had access along the same lines.

Nice catch, well done, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Re: two from the Maribyrnong
Both were caught on worms from the compost bin, using a paternoster rig, on 6kg line.
There were 100's if not 1000's of jelly fish hanging round, found the bites disappeared when the jellies showed up so had to keep on the move to avoid them.
Cornacarpio - I using the same outfit I have been for a couple of years now - shimano sonic pro spin rod - 4–6 kg with a static reel.
In the photo you can see some red dots on the side, used nail polish to mark 10cm intervals so I can measure the fish, close enough, in the photos
Still have my collection of K-mart specials, although they seldom get used anymore......actually been considering bundling up the lot and selling them off.
Better someone else gets some use out of them......wait and see....would hate to sell them and not be amongst the cool kids any more
