Swan hill

Post by barra mick » Tue Dec 19, 2017 7:11 pm

We had the annual catch up trip to swan hill .

We arrived at swan hill on thursday afternoon and camped 5 kms out off town.

The river was dropping and dirty..a few to many cans were had on thursday so nobody fished until friday afternoon.

The river was full off little cod between 40 and 60 cm and we easily caught over 40 little cod between the 3 boats.most off the cod were caught on local worms.

Between the little fish i somehow was lucky enough to land a nice healthy big cod with great colours.....i kept him in the water to kerp him alive account the fight was long as i had 12 pd line.

Thoses pictures dont really do it justice after i resized them.

She was a great looking fish.

We didnt get around to fishing again after saturday night session around the fire.

Very healthly part off the river though...be a good place to take a child fishing when hes learning.

Looks like a good cod BM. At a rough guess how long do you think it was?

Best Wishes

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them
