spinner bait redfin

Post by nickfish » Mon Dec 30, 2013 6:21 pm

are spinner baits a good lure for redfin. I got a redfin yesterday on a spinner bait in the yarra and was wondering if it was a fluke or not becouse the spinner bait looked a little big for a redfin

Spinnerbaits are fine for redfin. That is what I use at times if I do not want to get undersize redfin - only downside is if the average size of redfin where you are is 5cm long then you won't catch any! Besides redfin are nuts anyway. There are also smaller spinnerbaits as well but I assume you were using a larger one?
cheers

Plastics are by far the best for Redfin but they are a common by catch on spinner baits
Angling is the name given to fishing by people that can't fish

I may have misunderstood your question. I thought you meant can you catch redfin on spinnerbaits - the answer is yes. If you are asking for suggestions for redfin lures, there will be better options.
