Marysville report 8/1/14 (again)

It is only a small lake. I doubt if it has been stocked for a while. Parking is off Murchison St.

There are several points along the Marysville-Buxton road you can get down to the river.

My best advice for the whole area, Rubicon, Acheron, both Steavensons, is to jump on Google Maps, find a bit of river that gets close to the road but doesn't cross it, and walk down to it (not necessarily legal but if you're a bit crafty you won't get caught). The area's near bridges get absolutely smashed every weekend, so if you're not comfortable with stealthing your way along a fence line or paddock, get there just before sunup on a Saturday, or even a friday if you can manage it. There are dozens of good places to fish all 4 rivers.
