Western Port Sinker

Post by spikestar » Sun May 12, 2013 6:49 pm

Hi everyone.

When fishing from the surf what type and size sinkers do you use? When fishing from the boat I usually use 6oz but do I need as heavy sinker when fishing from the surf at places such as Balnarring? And should I be using a star sinker?

Thanks for the replies!

Star sinkers aren't necessary at Balnarring/Merricks etc. However, you can still use them.

I use 3-5oz bombs.

I use star sinkers ranging from 3-6 oz it all depends on the location i fish i also use grappling sinkers in heavy surfs

balnarring isnt too bad ,.. i just use 4oz star sinkers there and they work fine
