Eildon Pondage at very low water link
Eildon Pondage at very low water link
Just stumbled across this vid of Eildon Pondage at low water levels. I found it very interesting seeing the old river course and all the snags and the shallow areas gives me a bit of a mental note next time I head up.

Cheers.

That was posted in 2010.
I was up there on the weekend and everything is green, the streams are gushing with water but i was able to see the lake where i was.

I was there QB weekend and the pondage was reasonably full I only posted as its interesting to see all the snags and deep and shallow areas for future trips there I know it was an old vid but thought it would be of interest knowing what's in there when the water levels are up. :thumbsup:matt1991 wrote:That was posted in 2010.

Definitely interesting mate, there is no doubt about that. Any type of drought is a scary sign.Marty.A wrote:I was there QB weekend and the pondage was reasonably full I only posted as its interesting to see all the snags and deep and shallow areas for future trips there I know it was an old vid but thought it would be of interest knowing what's in there when the water levels are up. :thumbsup:matt1991 wrote:That was posted in 2010.

Sorry not good pic's.These were taken in late may 09.First is the old sugarloaf wall, which comes out of the water at about 13%. Second is coming out of jerusalem creek into the main body on a very cold morning,if you look straight across you can sort of see how far down it is.

The boat ramp at the Bonnie Doon park must be getting longer by now cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them
