Wow news to me thought the river was the border not the bank
If I'm not fishing, I'd rather be fishing!

Re: Murray River license debate.
I think both do BM but I know that NSW spend a hell of a lot more than Vic does. Personally I don't mind buying a Nsw licence to fish the Murray if the money goes back into fishing. At least the Nsw Dpi send me a reminder each year when it's due and let you know what the money is spent on each year  . I have had a Vic licence every year for 25+ years and have not once received any info from the Victorian fisheries :down:barra mick wrote:Both states should contribute for the murray

I've never lost a second of sleep over it!
If I'm fishing the Murray, I know I need a NSW licence, so I get one!
Yeah, it would probably make sense for a Vic licence to allow you to fish on the southern bank of the Murray, but the reality is what it is and changing that will probably never happen in my lifetime.

Re: Murray River license debate.
Seems to me that if we have to get a NSW fishing licence to fish the Murray as I have done on numerous occasions, it seems only fair that our Northern counterparts should have to get a Victorian licence to fish the Murray as well. Whilst that makes absolutely no sense at all, nor do the current regulations for us Victorians.
