Hi All,
Can anyone help me ID this little fish caught in the yarra near Heidelberg? It is about 15-20cm long. I didn't think it was a european carp. Sorry the pic isn't great. It was caught in the evening about a week ago. I got heaps of tiny little bites on worms and then finally hooked one.
Small silver perch maybe?

Thanks all for the quick response. I certainly didn't keep it, it wasn't hooked too well, so should be ok for another day.
