Local lake produces

Post by Boonanza » Mon Jun 12, 2017 4:02 pm

I've been driving past a local lake for years wondering if there was any fish in there but never bothered giving it a go. Decided this morning to give it a crack for a couple of hours before the footy not really expecting to much but I was pleasantly surprised with the results. We landed 7 reddies most around the 30cm mark with the biggest 34cm. All caught on soft plastics tried worms but didn't get a touch.

Good work Steve, in your backyard so to speak, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

I think quite a few of the small local lakes have reddies if you make a serious attempt to target them

After realising that my worms were having the day off I decided to join the boys flicking SPs & managed to not come home with a donut ;-)
