G'day fellow fishermen

I am thinking about heading up to Eildon in the next week or so for a few days. I

Has anyone fished Lake Eildon land based and if so, what tips could you offer? Baits/rigs etc

Could you use a paternoster rig? Or is that no good

Could see no reason why it wouldn't but haven't used the rig myself.
Normally when i fish with yabbies i have had one under a float and another with a running sinker to have one sit high and one low. I have had success with both methods the float has produced more Cod early and late in the day whereas, the running sinker i have had to deal with more carp.
Just depends what your after
Worth taking some worms for the trout and reddies as well as use other baits like cheese, bread, chicken all can produce on their day.

yes for sure...lots do use it.

I prefer the running sinker. ....so the fish dont feel the weight.....but there both fine.

I find pasternosters a pain in fresh water as they snag up more and re rigging is more complicated than a running sinker which is simply tying a new hook on.
