Warragul Fishing Spots?

Post by ooramirez » Thu Dec 28, 2017 4:56 pm

Hello everyone,

I am gonna do a fishing trip around Warragul with some friends. Any recommendations about fishing spots for crayfish and Australian bass? We are massive rookies, but we want to give it a try.

You have a couple of options close by with Blue rock lake & Lake Narracan probably your best bet.

Thanks Boonanza,
We just came back from this new year trip. I went to Blue Rock Lake and La Trobe River. As I was guessing, we didn't fish a thing, but I did enjoy the experience. I think I am getting into fishing. I'll probably grab my rookie equipment and I'll try to fish something around melbourne before the holidays finishes.

Thanks again for your advice.

I'm from warragul

Don't think ive ever heard anyone planning on coming to warragul for a fishing trip... Or coming to warragul for any type of trip haha

The tarago river between rokeby and neerim south holds good crays. You will need to sneak through farmers paddocks though.
