Hi guys, got some grubs today and want to store them to use when needed. Never used them before or know anything much about them. Can you freeze them, do you just cold store them, I got no idea. Appreciate any info on the subject. Cheers.

G,day Brownie, as you have not had any response I will try and help a bit altho it,s fairly limited.
Although not using them for many years, recall keeping them in sawdust, damp but definitely not wet preferably in the beer fridge, not the freezer. You can keep an eye on them and will obviously gradually be using and will know when they are looking a bit sad.
When this happens. roll them individually in foil and put into the freezer, they will die of course but retain most of their fish attraction when thawed.
Hope this little bit helps, good luck.

Blue's response was pretty well spot on.

The other old fashioned method was to pickle them in port. That seems to work well, prevents them turning black and the grubs seem to work just as effectively, in fact they stay on the hook better.

Best Wishes
